Strange thing happened to me yesterday…
I was rehearsing for our Midweek Worship service when I get a call from a number I don’t recognize. I let it go to voicemail.
When I checked the message, it is a woman imploring “John” to call her, his mother. She was very worried and needed to hear from him.
The woman was not my mother. She was calling from a local number, and my mother is far from local. I checked my White Pages app on my iPhone and looked up the mystery caller using a reverse number search. Called her back.
She was taken aback, insisting that my mobile number was her son’s number. I reiterated that it was mine, and that it had been for a while.
She soon realized that she was one number off. She let me know that she got a hold of John and that he is alright.
Weird, huh?
