There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. My freedom
Freedom in Christ is real. It is personal. And I give God the glory that, 31 years ago today, I became a Christian. Today is my spiritual birthday. My eternal freedom! I am no longer condemned for those sins that rightly deserve eternal punishment, but rather began my eternal life three decades ago.
It was only through what Christ did for me that I can celebrate my second birth (John 3:1-8). When Christ came to earth in human form, virgin born, lived a righteous life, and died as the last and only sacrifice for my sins, He became the way for me to live eternally in His presence.
