For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1
For the next few days, as we in the United States celebrate Independence Day, I am going to explore the use of the word freedom in the Word of God. I’ll be referencing different verses, but much of my time will be spent in Galatians 5.
Freedom is an important aspect of salvation, and we are going to delve into how it relates to our walk with God and our ability to live as we ought. It is through freedom that we can live a life without fear, confident in our Creator and our salvation. I hope this study will be a blessing and encouragement to you. To get the ball rolling…
What comes to mind when you think of the word freedom? Politics? Oppression? Grace? Choice? George Michael songs? (Please, that’s just a joke – no calls.)
