Looked in the gym mirror the other morning, and what did I see,
but a grey-bearded man looking back at me.
That’s right. At 35-years old, the salt is overtaking the pepper on my face (how’s THAT for a sentence). (more…)
I got the opportunity to preach this past Wednesday night during our Midweek Worship service. It was a treat.
As a music pastor and outreach minister, much of my responsibility revolves around the church’s worship services and evangelistic efforts. The bulk of my public speaking is limited to the time between worship songs, the occasional post-service announcement, and instructions to our choirs and bands.
Many music ministers have no desire to preach. I’m not one of them. I LOVE getting the privilege to speak.
We don’t record Midweek services, but here is my outline… (more…)

Wow. Great day. Here are some highlights before I call it a night…
1. This morning’s worship service was awesome. One baptized, one family joined the church, great message from Larry Bragg, many filled the altar during the invitation. So thankful. Glory to God.
2. Our Children’s Choirs did an INCREDIBLE job! Special thanks to Janet, Gaye, Gloria, and everyone involved for their hard work and dedication.
3. FALL FESTIVAL! TRUNK-OR-TREAT! Everyone worked hard and put together a fantastic outreach event. Many of the registrations we received were from folks that are unchurched. THAT is what this evening was about. Fed them. Served them. Loved on them. Hands and feet.
On a personal note, I wanted to say thanks for the cards, notes, gifts, and kind words my family and I have received during Pastor Appreciation Month.
