Weekly Mind Dump 031117

I’ve been debating on how to be more consistent with content on this blog. I desperately want to keep it going, but I need a way to kickstart content creation. I’ve decided to start taking notes through the week and doing a kind of weekly mind dump every weekend (It just occurred to me that the acronym for this exercise, should I choose to use one, will be WMD.).

Since I just decided to do this, well, five minutes ago, I don’t have much to report today. Here are a few things…

  • I am very interested in the new Christian Standard Bible, recently released as the updated version of the Holman Christian Standard Bible. I am looking forward to getting my hands on one. I have the iOS app, but am unimpressed so far. Hoping to see it added to my Logos library soon, as I signed up to receive it once released. I read a couple articles this week (1,2) about the new translation.
  • We will be introducing What a Beautiful Name by Hillsong Worship tomorrow at LBT. Great song, looking forward to playing it.
  • The Kentucky Wildcats won their game against Georgia yesterday, and I was very pleased that my employer chose to show the game on the internal screens. We play Alabama today at 1PM Eastern. #BBN
  • I watched an interesting documentary on Netflix about athletes competing for Mr. Olympia. I have always been fascinated by bodybuilders and powerlifters – the dedication and work ethic is just phenomenal.

That’ll do it for today. If you have any questions or comments, tweet me at @jonwellman. Let’s try a hashtag, just for fun… #nocamowmd.
