Remember My Chains – From Paul, to All of Us

I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you. –Colossians 4:18

We all suffer.

As believers, we are called to suffer (2 Timothy 3:12).

To carry our crosses (Matthew 16:24).

So we should remember that fellow faithful believers carry crosses, too.

Paul went through a lot for the cause of Christ.

He didn’t complain.

But he did covet the prayers of brothers and sisters in Christ.

I’m sure, from time to time, he was tempted to believe that he was forgotten.

So he made sure to ask his readers to remember his chains.

To remember that he was facing hardships and trials daily.

He knew that prayer would help (2 Corinthians 1:11, Colossians 4:3-4).

Pray for me, and I will endeavor to pray for my readers daily.

Let’s remember each other’s chains.
