Trust Him pt. 2

We as Christians are to be constantly striving through the power of the Holy Spirit to be more like Jesus Christ. God enables us to learn how to be more like Jesus using a variety of means. When our path involves going through trials, we MUST trust God. If we don’t, we risk bitterness, which is crippling! SO many times I have been at the end of what I can deal with and could do NOTHING ELSE but trust Him. Sometimes, that alone is His goal!

It is so important to remember that, at times, God refuses to deliver us from trials until we have learned what we need for the next step in His plan for our lives. God alone knows this plan, so He alone knows the tools we will need to accomplish what He desires.

We often hear, “God is God, and I’m not.” But we often forget (or reject) what that really means.

I’m not God. I will never be God. And God knows what He’s doing. He is on my side. He wants what is best for me. He knows how best to enable me to better resemble His Son. I can take courage and comfort from His perfect love, and so can you.

“You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
“Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD GOD is an everlasting Rock.
Isaiah 26:3-4 (ESV)
