So here’s the scoop…
I had plans to attend the Refresh Worship Conference at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA this week. I was at the mall with my family when I received an email saying that the conference had been cancelled.
Having already made travel arrangements to fly to Lynchburg, I started to get concerned. I needed to work out my arrangements, so I started looking for a conference to attend. I Googled it. There were a number of options, but the dates were not going to work. Except for one.
Crowder’s Fantastical Church Music Conference.
Yes, David Crowder of Crowder Band. Check the lineup…
Speakers: Louie Giglio, Rob Bell, Bob Kauflin, Matt Redmon, Francis Chan, and others.
Artists: Hillsong London, Israel Houghton, Crowder Band, Jars of Clay, Leeland, Gungor, Derek Webb, and others.
I rescheduled my travel and bought a ticket. Anticipating great things, I checked the Twitter feed of sixstepsrecords (the band’s label) and retweeted a contest link.
A few days later, my Boxcar app on my iPhone let me know I had a mention on Twitter. I WON! Cool, right?!?!
So today, I looked at sixstepsrecords’ Twitter timeline again. There was a YouTube link…
HOW AWESOME IS THAT!
So, thanks to the Crowder Band and sixstepsrecords. See you in Waco, TX, on the 30th!
