Sometimes, a blog is simply a way to mark meaningful occasions in ones life. As I type this on my iPhone, the news networks are awaiting an announcement from the White House that Osama Bin Laden has been killed. There is a lot of speculation regarding the details at this point, so I will not address the circumstances here (as soon as I do, the facts will come out).
There are crowds forming outside the White House chanting, “USA! USA!”
What a mix of emotions.

I’m hoping the report is accurate, but am hopeful this will help bring closure to our grevious wounds. On 9/11, I was working for the White House and on Anacostia Naval Air Station. For days as I drove to work I watched the Pentagon burn. Even tougher were the many folks who worked at the Pentagon and had to summon the courage to report to a burning building to go to work.
