Thanks for visiting! This is my personal blog. The title, Not a Camouflaged Soul, is taken from a song by All Together Separate. I believe that, as followers of Christ, we ought not live in fear. We should live our lives in a way that glorifies our Savior, and do so unashamed… in the open.
I post three or four times a week about matters of faith, music, church culture, technology, social media, and leadership. The easiest way to keep up with my musings is to subscribe via email or RSS. Click the appropriate links in the sidebar to do so.
I am a pastor whose ministry has been comprised of all things music, worship, media, and outreach, and have had the opportunity to work with churches in two states.
My wife, Jamy (follow her on Twitter), and I have been married seven years. We have two amazing kids, and live in Lexington, Kentucky. The Lord has richly blessed my family. We are enjoying life and praising God for all He provides.
I love to make music. Piano, guitar, bass, vocal… whatever is nearby.
Technology fascinates me. Though I am by no means a pro, I do like to keep up with the products on the market. I’m also an unapologetic Apple junkie.
In addition to being a writer, I’m also a reader. I read several blogs every day. I also keep up with my ministerial craft through trade magazines, I read news online, and I enjoy books from a variety of authors.
Exercise, especially running, is important to me. I feel I need to be at my best physically, so I do what I can to stay healthy. I have a long way to go, but I enjoy the struggle.
Finally, time with my family is at a premium, and I enjoy them every chance I get.
